George B. Todd Interactive Video Network Room

The George B. Todd Interactive Video Network Room at the Aquaculture and Restoration Ecology Laboratory is a 150-person conference room outfitted with web-based teleconferencing equipment to aid graduate student education and research collaboration. Utilizing the University System of Maryland's Interactive Video Network (IVN), a televideo network that enables students to participate in graduate courses and join in real-time discussion taking place at participating universities within the University System of Maryland. The IVN system also allows researchers at different laboratories and campuses throughout the state to collaborate on research projects, utilizing the latest in conferencing technology.

The Todd Room was supported by a generous donation from the George B. Todd Fund, part of the Mid-Shore Community Foundation of Easton. Mr. Todd, owner of a successful multi-line insurance agency and a well-respected member of the Dorchester County community during his lifetime, was dedicated to maintaining and improving the quality of life in Dorchester County, Md.

For more information on making a donation to the Center, please contact, UMCES Vice President of Development Jonathon Powers.
